Timothy Collins  President / Founder & Chairman

Timothy is a serial entrepreneur with a vision for technology and finance. He has extensive investment banking experience having started an investment banking firm at 23 and turned it into Collins Securities Corporation, an institutional investment boutique. He brings a 45 year career of success in identifying emerging paradigms and in running two highly successful investment banks and a publicly traded extractive resource company. He founded several Startups, managed IPOs and private financings of numerous disruptive technology companies. He is also a Managing Director of Security Research Associates, a Bay Area Investment Banking firm specializing in Silicon Valley companies.

Dante Zeviar — EVP / CTO / Director

Dante has several years of automotive experience, including leading numerous teams through the automotive development process and building formula style race cars. A graduate from the University of California at Berkley, he has a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, a M.Sc. in Automotive Engineering from Technical University of Munich, and a Professional Automotive Technology degree from Universal Technical Institute. During his time in Germany, he has worked in BMW’s R&D department and developed ground breaking aluminum electrical connectors for high current applications in hybrid and electric vehicles.  Dante’s passion and mission is to establish the electric vehicle as a superior mode of transportation in the 21st century.

William McCrone  Acting Chief Financial Officer

William is a principal at Ravix Group, a business consulting firm. He is a successful financial manager for over 20 years, with experience in both Fortune 100 and venture financed Startup organizations. He has extensive experience in strategic planning, market research, financial modeling & planning, cash management and has spent 13 years with Hewlett Packard in various financial operations. He is the acting Chief Financial Officer and leads KleenSpeed’s financial strategy.

Michael Harrigan VP Corporate Development

Michael is a former VP of Marketing at Tesla Motors. He was responsible for marketing, launch and public relations for the Tesla Roadster. He has extensive experience with several startups including Ridge Computers, Reasoning Systems, Network Computing Devices, ShoreTel and has served as VP of business development for Coulomb and Atieva. He is also currently consulting with City CarShare on their electric fleet.

Dave Kichar  VP of Operations / Outsourcing

Dave has extensive experience in operations and corporate-level supply strategy, operational planning, program development, and market research. He has substantial supply chain experience in Asia, as well as with most of the large contract manufacturers, both domestic and international. David is team builder with a proven track record of successful execution.

Peter Sprague  Director

Peter was instrumental in the turnaround of Aston Martin, leading it out of bankruptcy. He was the Chairman of National Semiconductor for 30 years, and is also the Founder of Wave Systems. Peter is a corporate liaison involved with KleenSpeed’s automotive strategy.

Ted Morgan  Vice Chairman

Ted is a former senior executive at Xerox for 15 years, and the President of Med Rite Laboratories. He is the Founder / CEO of Office Club and is also the Founder of U.S. Electricar, the largest electric vehicle producer in the 1990’s. He works with KleenSpeed on developing and executing a successful electrification strategy.

 

Engineering & Design

Matthew Klein III— Mechanical Engineering Architecture

Matthew is a graduate of UC Davis and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He led the UC Davis student formula hybrid team and has extensive experience with automotive technologies. He is working on KleenSpeed’s next generation energy storage system for the Kar project.

Mario Miranda — Mechanical Engineering Architecture

Mario is a graduate of UC Davis with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and was a key member of the UC Davis student formula hybrid team. He has extensive experience with suspension & chassis design. He is working on KleenSpeed’s sub frame architecture and suspension design for the Kar project.

Justin Werre — Electrical Engineering Architecture

Justin is a graduate of UC Davis with a degree in Electrical Engineering and was a key member of the UC Davis student formula hybrid team. He has extensive experience with battery management systems and vehicle electronic design. He is working on the embedded aspects of the energy storage system for the Kar project.

Jonathan Gallagher — Mechanical Engineering Architecture

Jonathan is a graduate of City College of New York with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a member of the formula student organization and competed internationally. He has extensive experience in vehicle design and is working on vehicle integration of KleenSpeed systems on the Kar project.

Kyle Greenhaw — Fabrication and Assembly

Kyle has extensive experience in fabrication and electro-mechanical assembly. He has a wealth of practical knowledge in the automotive field and is working on the fit and finish aspects of the KleenSpeed Kar project.

Brian Rhim  Automotive Design

Brian is a graduate of the San Francisco Academy of Art and has a degree in Automotive Design. He is leading the design effort behind the KleenSpeed Kar project.

Jin Woo Kang  Industrial Designer/Clay Sculpting 

Jin is a graduate of the San Francisco Academy of Art and has a degree in Industrial Design. He is leading the modeling and sculpting efforts behind the KleenSpeed Kar project.

 

MARKETING

Chu-Jui Wu — Vice President Marketing & Media

Chu-Jui is a graduate of the San Francisco Academy of Art and has a MFA degree in Fashion Merchandising. He worked for Auto-online Magazine in Taiwan as an editor. He is also a freelance contributor for EVUpdate.com and Auto-online.com.tw. Chu-Jui is leading KleenSpeed’s website, blog and social media initiatives.

Daniel Reuter — Director of Fleet Market Development

Daniel has been actively marketing EV’s for five years and is the President of Electric Movement, a Silicon Valley based company that markets electric industrial vehicles to institutional fleets. He is working on developing KleenSpeed’s product development and sales strategy in the fleet market.

Dean Seven — Director of Public Relations, Branding & Communications

Dean is a principal at In The Mix Media, a Bay Area public relations and marketing firm. He has a graduate degree in Industrial Design from the Massachusetts College of Art specializing in transportation design, and a Bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University with a minor in mechanical engineering. Dean also has considerable experience as an Automotive Journalist, writing over 500 articles & vehicle reviews for the San Francisco Chronicle and other media outlets. He is leading KleenSpeed’s public relations, media and branding strategy.

Christian Klein — Film and Media

Christian is pursuing an Advanced Film & Video certification at the Ohlone College, Fremont CA . He brings extensive experience  working on feature & short films, promotional & music videos, commercials, and video editing. Christian is currently leading film and multimedia projects for KleenSpeed.

 

ADVISORY BOARD

Roy D. Chapin III

Roy is the Founder of “Chapin Company”, a consulting firm. Both sides of his family have been involved in the automobile sector for generations, and his father served as the CEO of American Motors. Roy is our liaison to the automobile industry in Detroit.

Darrin Vallis

Darrin is a senior member of technical staff at Cypress Semiconductor. He is involved with KleenSpeed’s product development, embedded systems, software & hardware, component & system design, as well as intuitive User Interface (UI) systems  for implementation in the KleenSpeed Kar project.

James Greenhaw

James is a senior IT Systems engineer at PG&E. He is involved with KleenSpeed’s control systems and is developing battery management algorithms, including hardware & software. He also works on telemetry, data gathering & analysis tools, as well as development of a prototype motor controller.

Gail Hashimoto

Gail is a senior shareholder at the Hopkins & Carley Law firm with extensive experience in the technology sector. She serves as general counsel for KleenSpeed and offers guidance on corporate and intellectual property matters.

Kevin Mitz

Kevin is the Principal at Rennwerks Motorsports. He has extensive experience in auto racing, including vehicle design & preparation, and is an accomplished competitive driver. Kevin is involved in KleenSpeed’s racing initiatives and has been instrumental in preparing the record setting EV-X11.

David C. Collins

David is a Principal at Jaffoni & Collins, a New York Investment Relations firm and is also a private investor. He is involved with KleenSpeed’s shareholder relations, marketing and branding strategies.

Matthew Klein Jr., MBA, PMP

Matthew is an IT Project Manager for one of the largest international airlines. He provides program management expertise to KleenSpeed to ensures on-time / on-budget delivery of industry leading products.

Alan Bouverat

Alan is KleenSpeed’s motorsports consultant and will be leading its major sponsorship program for the record setting EV-X11 as well as other racing initiatives.  He has been affiliated with winning programs in all the major motorsports entities and is experienced in all levels of successful team development and marketing.
